More information:

Cascada Skin Food - Fusion 1 is a rich nourishing moisturiser, suitable for mature, oily, dull, combination to normal skin types and enlarged pores. It contains a Natural Active Ingredient Complex against skin aging, with botanical silicon from millet and skin-tautening tannins from oak. It has been specially designed to improve the skin structure. The botanical silicon has high bio-availability thereby promoting the production of the skins structural proteins. The new production of collagen and glucosamine glucans is accelerated and the skin profile is improved from within thereby improving wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin.

Tannins from oak, have an astringent and tautening effect. As natural complexing agents they neutralise harmful metal ions and protect the skin with their anti-oxidative properties.

Fusion 1 also contains Hyaluronic Acid - Popularly called "The Fountain of Youth", added for its skin rejuvenation properties. Roots Hyaluronic Acid is made by producing enzymes from a bacteria-based biofermentation process and NOT sourced from poultry (roosters combs), as are many others. Hyaluronic Acid has the ability to absorb up to 1,000 times its own weight in water, so it?s therefore the most efficient humectant moisturiser we have so far. Hyaluronic acid is what gives the skin its volume and fullness. It is one of the chief components of the extracellular skin matrix and it contributes significantly to cell proliferation. Aging can result in the loss of hyaluronic acid, which in turn results in skin that has less volume and the formation of wrinkles and folds. Its hydrating properties result in increased skin smoothness, softening and decreased wrinkles. Its rejuvenating properties result in increased skin softness. It also protects the cell structure and defends against external threats and bacterial infections. It also exhibits viscous flow, elastic and pseudoplastic properties. This property is unique to HA. So you can see why it is popularly called ?The Fountain of Youth?.  By its nature, Hyaluronic Acid retains water like a sponge and has the ability to absorb a thousand times more than its own weight and plays an important role in tissue hydration, lubrication and cellular function. In short, it is the most excellent skin moisturiser to date. When the body cannot produce enough of coenzyme Q10 on its own anymore, then low molecular weight hyaluronic acid can penetrate through the skin to reestablish the hyaluronic acid content to more youthful levels.  Alex Schauss, Ph.D., Director of Natural and Medicinal Products Research at AIBMR Life Sciences, explained that aging causes variations in natural hyaluronic acid concentrations in the skin. He points out that enhanced hyaluronic acid levels seem to increase collagen production.

Nice skin

This has to be the most nourishing night cream I have tried my skin glows and my friends have commented how nice my skin looks. It is quite heavy but doesn't feel greasy and the smell is lovely.

Smells divine and a pleasure to use

I have oily skin and I was very reluctant to try this as it is heavier than I would normally use. I am surprised, I use it every night without fail, it smells divine and is a pleasure to use.

My go to night cream, I love the fact it's hydrating my skin when I sleep. Super light on the skin as well and is the perfect go to for moisturising and prepping my skin before makeup!

Skin looks younger!

I have been using Roots products for a while now and I wouldn't use anything else. After trying many anti-aging cosmetics I have finally found a range that works for my mature, dry and sensitive skin. I especially love the Cascada Skin Food, my skin feels wonderfully nourished after using this.
